Zee Avi’s Bitter Heart by The Malloys
As some of you may know, our beloved Zee Avi @ Kokokaina is currently on tour in the U.S.(she played SXSW for God’s sake!) promoting her debut album out this May 19th. Recently in between shows, she managed to film the video for her first single Bitter Heart with The Malloys. And today the video had its world premiere on her YouTube!
The video is cute and simple, much like Zee’s laid back and sweet music. I like how it captures her witty expressions and the colorful wardrobe by Gregory Parkinson made her looked even more fun! The shaky hand held feel, burned black & white and colored film and grainy effect are a bonus!
The Malloys also did videos for a slew of artists like N.E.R.D., Oasis, Sheryl Crow, Jimmy Eat World, The White Stripes, Avril Lavigne, Jurassic 5, Jack Johnson, Santana, Black Eyed Peas, The Shins, Kid Rock, Lostprophets, Metallica, Ben Harper, New Found Glory, The Used, Def Leppard, 311 and Foo Fighters. WHOA.
