55DSL, a spin-off of Diesel, has partnered with Cut & Paste and are challenging artists, illustrators, graphic designers, typographers, and creative heads alike to remix their iconic 24 years old ‘Shield’ logo in the 55DSL Logo Remix Challenge. Winning entries will get 1,055€ big ones(that’s RM4,834.23) and their design printed on the 2010 Spring/Summer T-shirt collection plus of course, bragging rights.

Contest ends on 5th December and professional judges will judge the remix logos on 1. Originality of concept, 2. Effective reinterpretation of the Shield logo, 3. Quality of execution (both technical and aesthetic) and 4. Adaptability for use in different product designs. There’s also the People’s Choice Award that ends on the 12th where whichever design with the most votes will receive special limited edition items from 55DSL.
