To Lunch, Or Not To Lunch

If you’re tired of the same old way to view your favorite photos on Flickr or videos on YouTube(white background, 2D look, up and down scrolling), then you HAVE to check this out. Cool Iris have come up with PicLens, a web browser extension that gives you a total “3D browsing experience”(literally). Here’s from their website;

PicLens transforms your browser into a full-screen, 3D experience for viewing photos and videos across the web. With one click, PicLens makes online media come to life via an immersive presentation that goes beyond the confines of the traditional browser.

It’s free for download and available for both Mac and PC on major web browsers; Mozilla, Internet Explorer, Safari, and can be used to view multimedia content from Flickr, Photobucket, Picasa, deviantART, Smugmug, Facebook, Myspace, Friendster, Google Images, Yahoo! Images, and YouTube.

“Cool, stunning, fun, addictive, gorgeous, great idea” was what CNET, Wired, Macworld and NY Times said. I couldn’t agree more! Definitely one of the best Web 2.0 apps I’ve seen!

More features and PicLens-enabled website will come up soon. You could even feature it on your own website or blog as extension. Coolness! See the demo video below;
