Looks like “The Disko” at The Annexe, Central Market are joining the list of now-defunct show venues as its predecessors; The Colors Pub(Damansara Uptown), The Actors Studio(Dataran Merdeka), Blue Planet(Off Jln. P Ramlee), Teratak Dangdut(Chow Kit) among others.
Ricecooker reported that a percussion group have bought(taken over) the space. Unless something can be work out and until we get more info on who’s the new owner, no gigs will be held there. Today’s ‘Kawan Tour ‘08′ show headlined by Plague of Happiness will be the last show.
As any gig organizers who are affected by this sudden move by The Annexe management, yours truly too are not spared. It looks like Radio Free KL 3 has to be moved to other venue as well, and given the limited amount of “decent-budget-gig-capable” venues available and less than one month time, I could only cross my fingers.
